In a message to his staff, Viado emphasized the importance of their dedication and the sacrifices they make, especially during the holidays when they are away from their families.
“I understand the challenges of being away from loved ones during this special time,” Viado said. “Your commitment to serving our country is truly commendable. You are the face of the Bureau, and you embody Filipino hospitality to all who pass through our borders.”
Viado also recognized the significant accomplishments of the BI throughout the year, highlighting the collective efforts of all employees in achieving modernization initiatives and improving passenger services. “This year has been a testament to what we can achieve when we work together,” he stated. “I am incredibly proud of your hard work and dedication.”
The Commissioner encouraged all personnel to carry the spirit of Christmas – a time of joy, reflection, and service – into the new year. He urged them to continue serving with excellence and integrity as they face new challenges and strive for further improvements.
Viado also appealed to the public for understanding and patience during the holiday travel rush. “Our officers are working diligently to ensure a smooth travel experience for everyone,” he said. “Let us all cooperate by following travel guidelines and treating each other with kindness and respect.”
