Philippine Airlines soars to 7th most punctual airlines in Asia-Pacific for 2024

Philippine Airlines (PAL), the country’s premier flag carrier, has once again secured a spot among the top ten most punctual airlines in the Asia-Pacific region for 2024, according to the 2024 Cirium On-Time Performance Report.

Climbing to the seventh position from its previous eighth-place ranking, PAL stands out as the only Philippine carrier to be recognized in the top ten of Asia-Pacific’s “Top Airline Performers.”

According to the 2024 Cirium On-Time Performance Report, PAL achieved an impressive on-time arrival rate of 76.06%, covering over 112,000 flights across its global network. Notably, in January 2024, PAL clinched the title of the #1 Most Punctual Airline with an outstanding on-time performance of 86.85%.

“We greatly appreciate the recognition for the monumental efforts of our employees, service partners, and industry stakeholders in achieving this on-time performance milestone, which affirms the long-term investments we are making in enhancing reliability and efficiency in all our operations, and always at the highest level of safety in line with Philippine Airlines’ uncompromising safety culture,” said PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng.

This seventh-place ranking places PAL ahead of many Southeast Asian, Chinese, Korean, and Australian carriers. Airlines from Japan, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Australia also made it to the top ten list for 2024.
