Booking.com, a global leader in connecting travelers to an unparalleled selection of accommodations, activities, and transportation options, proudly announces the recipients of its 13th annual Traveller Review Awards. Drawing from over 360 million verified customer reviews, these awards celebrate travel partners who consistently deliver outstanding hospitality and service.
In 2025, a remarkable 1.71 million partners are being honored, marking a 16% increase from the previous year. This includes 1,711,539 accommodations, 1,329 rental car companies, and 124 taxi providers.
For the eighth consecutive year, Italy leads with the highest number of award recipients (207,730), followed closely by France (155,203), Spain (147,700), Germany (102,031), and the United Kingdom (88,209). The top ten list also features the United States (70,259) at number six, followed by Poland (69,709), Brazil (67,876), Greece (66,994), and Croatia (56,648).
Apartments dominate as the most-awarded accommodation type for the eighth straight year, with 847,627 awards. Holiday homes (259,105) continue to hold the second spot, outperforming hotels (190,670) for the third consecutive year. Notably, capsule hotels experienced a 35% increase in awards, the highest growth among accommodation types, followed by villas (25%) and cabins (21%). Overall, awards for vacation rentals and unique properties rose by 17%, reflecting travelers’ ongoing enthusiasm for distinctive hospitality and memorable experiences.
Since 2010, Booking. com has facilitated over 4.5 billion guest arrivals, with over 1 billion in alternative accommodations or non-hotel properties. Today, travelers can explore more than 30 types of accommodations, including cozy country homes, funky city apartments, elegant villas, charming B&Bs, spacious farm accommodations, and beachfront bungalows. For the adventurous, there are even boats, igloos, and treehouses.
Booking.com’s rental car and taxi services play a crucial role in providing travelers with a seamless experience, aligning with the mission to make exploring the world easier for everyone. This year, 1,329 car rental partners from 100 countries are being recognized with a Traveller Review Award, a 196% increase from the 2024 edition. The United States claims the top spot for the first time with 181 recognized car rental companies, followed by Spain (113), the United Kingdom (106), Germany (92), and France (88). Additionally, 124 taxi suppliers worldwide are being recognized for their exceptional service.
