Puregold to boost education for sustainable dev’t

Following the success of its 2024 initiatives, the country’s leading multi-channel retailer Puregold said it will continue to fulfill its commitment to promote sustainable development by empowering rural communities through its Pusong Panalo Program.

Ferdinand Vincent Co, president of Puregold Price Club, Inc., said the “Pusong Panalo” program will further push its education initiatives this year. Co said that only through education the country can sustain development and empower rural communities.

Planned initiatives in 2025 include classroom renovations, essential goods distributions, solar panel installation, and technology donations. Puregold initiatives included school infrastructure improvements, community Christmas festivities, and support for typhoon victims, Puregold is set to broaden the reach of its acclaimed Pusong Panalo CSR program. By 2028, the program aims to benefit 30 more schools.

Co vowed that Puregold’s Pusong Panalo Program will expand its support to more rural schools in 2025, demonstrating the company’s commitment to social responsibility and community development.

The Pusong Panalo program employs a community-centered approach to giving back with the end goal of uplifting the lives of Filipinos. Under this program, Puregold helps bridge the gap between urban and rural communities by offering much-needed aid to areas that are often overlooked.

In 2024, Puregold installed solar panels to provide a sustainable and reliable energy source at Laiban Elementary School in Tanay, Rizal. The school also received a new playground and replenished the canteen. The company also donated new laptops to the school’s teachers.

Further, the multi-channel retailer extended assistance to another set of schools in Rizal: Magata-Manggahan School, Nayon Elementary School, and Talim Elementary in the form of solar installation, playground, school supplies, canteen supplies, and hygiene kits.

“Education is the key to a better life for many children. Puregold is happy to help provide better tools and facilities so Filipino students can help achieve their dreams. We are expanding the scope of the program to include more schools as part of our long-term vision,” said Co.

“Puregold will always be committed to Pusong Panalo and its mission of enhancing lives and fostering development in rural and last mile areas through inclusive growth and sustainable development,” added Vincent.
