DTI leads gov’t agencies connect farmers and consumers

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), along with other national government agencies, showed its full support for the Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP), which aims to eliminate market layers by allowing farmers to sell directly to consumers.
The KNP aims to eliminate market layers by allowing farmers to sell directly to consumers. This initiative also connects micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in agriculture, manufacturing, retail, and services directly with their customer base. By streamlining distribution channels, the KNP empowers these MSMEs to maximize earnings and contribute to economic growth.
At the recent Alaminos Municipal Hall, the DTI and the Department of Agriculture together with other government agencies -Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Social Welfare and Development, and  Department of the Interior and Local Government supported the effort of the local government.
As part of DTI Laguna’s commitment to the initiative, a Diskwento Caravan was organized in partnership with Puregold-Alaminos, Laguna and Generika. Three microentrepreneurs—3A Footwear, EFF Footwear and Mywill Food Products— took part in the trade fair.
