Authenticity, craftsmanship, and innovation come alive as the 8th One Town, One Product (OTOP) Philippines Store in Cagayan Valley has officially opened its doors.
Located at the Gasat Hall at the Provincial Capitol of Cagayan, this vibrant space brings a curated selection of the region’s finest local flavors and cultural legacy. The new OTOP store was opened on March 11, 2025. An OTOP Store is a go-to destination for proudly local products with a competitive advantage. Other OTOP stores in the region are located at the Tuguegarao City Airport; Nassiping, Gattaran, Cagayan; Uyugan, Batanes; Cabagan, Isabela; Santiago City; Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya; and Cabarroguis, Quirino.
The store provides both local buyers and tourists with an access point to discover authentic, innovative, and upgraded food and non-food products from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Embodying the region’s rich culture and craftsmanship, these products–ranging from delectable delicacies and chic fashion accessories to exquisite home decor and handcrafted souvenirs—have been enhanced through the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) intensive product development.
In her speech, DTI Quirino Provincial Director Mary Ann Dy emphasized that the OTOP Store is more than just a retail space; it serves as a testament to the remarkable creativity and resourcefulness that define the spirit of the Cagayanos.
In a special video message, DTI-Competitiveness and Innovation Group Assistant Secretary Leonila Baluyut extended her congratulations to Cagayan Province, highlighting the DTI’s unwavering commitment to supporting MSMEs and equipping them with the tools necessary to thrive in a competitive market.
The Provincial Government of Cagayan expressed strong support for the launch, highlighting the successful collaboration in driving MSME growth and preserving Cagayan’s rich cultural heritage. PA Mamba emphasized the opportunities provided by the government, expressing her aspiration for MSMEs to thrive within the region and in international markets.
