IndiGo partners Amadeus to advance tech in airline industry

IndiGo has partnered with travel technology leader Amadeus to integrate its advanced Revenue Management solution, Amadeus Segment Revenue Management Flex (Amadeus SRM Flex). This collaboration marks a significant milestone in IndiGo’s continued growth and technological advancement within the airline industry.

With the adoption of this cloud-based Revenue Management system, IndiGo gains access to an intuitive, easy-to-use interface that enhances operational efficiency. SRM Flex, a web-based application, will seamlessly integrate with IndiGo’s existing Navitaire New Skies® Passenger Service System (PSS) through the cutting-edge Revenue Management Integration Service (RMIS). This integration allows for near real-time data exchange, empowering IndiGo to respond swiftly to market dynamics, including changes in bookings or fleet adjustments.

The system offers highly flexible price-setting capabilities that can be customized to IndiGo’s strategic needs. Whether rule-based, science-based, or a blend of both, the solution enables optimal pricing strategies. Additionally, it supports automation of routine tasks, helping IndiGo streamline operations and unlock new revenue opportunities.

“IndiGo is making great strides on its journey ‘Towards New Heights and Across New Frontiers’ to stay ahead in the evolving aviation landscape. Amadeus’s Revenue Management technology will equip our team with enhanced control, enabling faster decision-making, greater automation, and improved efficiency across all areas of operation,” said Abhijit Dasgupta, Senior Vice President – Planning and Revenue Management, IndiGo.

Dasgupta further noted that by consolidating its interfaces into a single, unified system, IndiGo can optimize time management and focus on more advanced revenue management strategies—critical for supporting its rapidly expanding network, diverse market segments, and growing passenger base. The system’s ability to integrate IndiGo’s data science and machine learning capabilities with Amadeus’s technology will create a powerful ecosystem, driving both operational efficiency and long-term growth.

“We are excited to collaborate with IndiGo to maximize the potential of this cutting-edge technology,” said Javier Laforgue, Executive Vice President, Travel Unit & Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Amadeus. “Amadeus’s Revenue Management technology is modular, open, and agnostic to PSS platforms, making it easy to integrate with existing solutions. This partnership will ensure that IndiGo is well-positioned for sustainable growth in India and beyond.”

David P. Evans, Head of Navitaire, also expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re thrilled that IndiGo has chosen Amadeus’ Revenue Management technology to drive its expansion. The flexibility of Navitaire’s open, scalable platform ensures that IndiGo can continue connecting with its preferred business partners while enhancing revenue management and responding to shifting market conditions.”

Dasgupta highlighted that IndiGo’s rapid expansion, including a firm order for 500 A320 aircraft, requires the right technology to support future growth. The selection of Amadeus SRM Flex ensures that IndiGo will have the necessary infrastructure to sustain its success.

Currently, IndiGo operates a fleet of over 400 aircraft, conducting more than 2,200 daily flights across 120+ destinations, including 38 international routes. In 2024, the airline served over 113 million passengers and introduced new offerings such as its business class service, IndiGoStretch, and the IndiGo BluChip loyalty program.

This strategic move with Amadeus underscores IndiGo’s commitment to innovation and reinforces its position as a leader in the aviation industry.
