Dennis Anthony Uy, CEO and Co-Founder of Converge ICT Solutions Inc., said the company’s partnership with Starlink could easily boost revenues by 5% to 10%, driven by the growing demand for high-speed and reliable internet connectivity—especially in remote areas and specific industries in the Philippines—along with attractive product pricing.
Uy described the partnership as “huge,” predicting a significant impact on Converge’s global business within a year or two.
Converge and Starlink officially launched their partnership on Wednesday, March 25, 2025, to deliver broadband internet to underserved regions in the country. The collaboration aims to provide high-speed, low-latency satellite solutions to businesses and government sectors nationwide using Starlink’s low-Earth orbit satellite technology.
According to Uy, the most significant impact will be on Converge’s global business, particularly in serving existing clients who previously faced connectivity challenges. This includes redundancy solutions for the banking industry, a sector that Converge struggled to support in the past. “On the revenue side, easily 5% to 10% increase,” Uy said.
Beyond banking, Converge is also targeting clients in the hospitality sector, including resorts, domestic cargo vessels, fishing boats, and mining operations. “We should support them,” he emphasized.
From the government side, Uy noted opportunities in providing satellite-based internet for coastal patrol boats, which typically operate in isolated areas with limited connectivity. “It’s huge—you’re talking about nationwide coverage,” he reiterated.
Uy also highlighted the Philippines’ position as Starlink’s eighth-largest market globally, surpassing Indonesia, which has more than 17,000 islands compared to the Philippines’ 7,000+.
On pricing, he noted that rates for satellite-based connectivity are now much more competitive than before, thanks to increasing business volume.
Sherie Ng, Managing Director of Converge Singapore, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Converge ICT Solutions, Inc., also presented three Starlink product offerings.
As the world’s first and largest satellite constellation in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Starlink delivers broadband internet with latency as low as 20-60 milliseconds and speeds of up to 200 Mbps. This makes it ideal for high-definition video conferencing, real-time financial transactions, cloud computing, and even remote-controlled industrial operations.
As an authorized Starlink reseller, Converge provides end-to-end turnkey solutions, including installation, network management, monitoring, and maintenance. By bundling Starlink’s revolutionary satellite technology with its industry-leading fiber services, Converge is offering an unmatched connectivity package—one that no other authorized reseller in the Philippines can match.
“This collaboration isn’t just about connectivity—it’s about bringing Starlink to Converge clients and transforming the way businesses operate, even in the most challenging locations. With Converge and Starlink, the future of enterprise connectivity in the Philippines has never looked brighter,” Uy said.
