The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of the newly upgraded Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center Building in Barangay Pulang Lupa 1, Las Piñas City.
This 12-story facility was developed through a collaboration between the DPWH National Capital Region (NCR), the DPWH Las Piñas-Muntinlupa District Engineering Office (DEO), the Department of Health (DOH), and the local government of Las Piñas City.
In her report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH-NCR Director Loreta M. Malaluan highlighted that the new hospital building replaces the previous two-story structure, greatly expanding the city’s capacity to deliver enhanced public healthcare and specialized medical services.
The newly constructed hospital boasts a total floor area of 13,650 square meters and includes state-of-the-art facilities such as internal medicine, pediatrics, and isolation wards. It also features a hemodialysis clinic, a physical medicine and rehabilitation department, a nutrition and dietetics section, and an outpatient department. Additionally, the building houses administrative and executive offices, a finance office, a utility room, parking areas, and a roof deck.
“The completion of this 12-story Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center is a testament to President Ferdinand R. Marcos’ administration’s commitment to achieving a ‘Bagong Pilipinas,’ where every Filipino has access to high-quality public healthcare,” said Director Malaluan.
The construction of the Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center, which cost a total of P791.53 million, was carried out in five phases starting in 2021.
