Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the operator of key expressways including NLEX, SCTEX, NLEX Connector, CAVITEX, CALAX, and CCLEX, is set to roll out its comprehensive “Biyaheng Arangkada Semana Santa” motorist assistance program from April 16 to 21, 2025.
For CAVITEX, the program will be implemented in partnership with MPTC’s joint venture partner, the Philippine Reclamation Authority, through PEA Tollway Corporation.
This road safety initiative is designed to ensure a safe, convenient, and stress-free travel experience for motorists, especially during the peak travel season of Holy Week. With a 10% increase in traffic volume expected across its expressway network, MPTC is deploying a wide range of enhanced services and support.
“MPTC’s role during Holy Week goes beyond traffic management. ‘Biyaheng Arangkada Semana Santa’ reflects our commitment to delivering a safe, seamless, and reassuring travel experience for Filipino families,” said MPTC President and CEO Jose K. Ma. Lim.
Key Features of the Program:
- 🚗 Enhanced Roadside Assistance & Support
- 24/7 Hotline (1-35000) and MPT DriveHub app support for emergency assistance and traffic updates.
- Roadside Assistance Stations are placed along strategic points of all MPTC expressways.
- More than 2,000 traffic operations personnel deployed starting April 8 to manage traffic flow and respond to incidents.
- 🏥 Free Emergency & Medical Services
- Emergency Medical Teams will be on standby to provide first aid and medical attention.
- Free Basic Mechanical Services for minor repairs are available at select Rest and Refuel Stations.
Free Towing Services to the nearest exit for Class 1 and Class 1M vehicles during these dates:
- NLEX, SCTEX, CALAX, CCLEX, NLEX Connector:
- April 9, 6:00 AM to April 14, 6:00 AM
- April 16, 6:00 AM to April 21, 6:00 AM
CAVITEX:
- April 16, 6:00 AM to April 20, 6:00 PM

- Easytrip RFID Support Teams stationed at key points for installation, reloading, and inquiries.
- CCLEX RFID Services available at the Cordova-bound Toll Plaza Tent.
- 💧 Comfort and Convenience Services
- Free Wi-Fi (powered by SMART) and free drinking water (provided by Maynilad) at select Rest and Refuel stations.
- Free health and wellness consultations (courtesy of MWell) at designated NLEX stops.
- Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations available in select areas of NLEX, in partnership with AC Mobility.
- 💳 Promoting Faster, Cashless Transactions
To reduce wait times at toll plazas, MPTC urges all motorists to embrace RFID readiness:
- Install an RFID sticker for seamless, cashless toll payments.
- Ensure sufficient RFID balance before traveling.
- Use the MPT DriveHub app to check balances, reload, and calculate toll fees.
- Have your RFID card ready as a backup for uninterrupted travel.
- Replace unreadable RFID stickers at service centers to avoid delays.
