“I am utterly heartbroken by the news of the terrible incident at the Lapu-Lapu Day Block Party in Vancouver, BC, Canada,” President Marcos stated in a public address on Sunday.
On behalf of the Philippine government and the Filipino people, President Marcos and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos conveyed their deepest condolences to the victims and their bereaved families.
“Liza and I extend our most heartfelt sympathies to the families of those who were affected and to the resilient and vibrant Filipino community in Canada,” the President affirmed.
President Marcos also assured the public that the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver is working closely with Canadian authorities to stay informed about the ongoing investigation into the incident. Furthermore, the Consulate is actively providing assistance and support to the victims and their families during this difficult time.
“We stand united with the families of the victims and the Filipino community in Vancouver as they navigate this period of immense grief,” the President added.
