Emirates and Philippine Airlines (PAL) met during the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai to discuss expanding their strategic partnership.
Among the key topics was a potential reciprocal code-share agreement covering flights between the Philippines, Dubai, and selected onward destinations. This collaboration aims to offer travelers enhanced connectivity, streamlined booking with a single ticket, coordinated baggage policies, and more convenient flight schedules.
Beyond passenger services, both airlines are also exploring deeper cargo interline cooperation, sharing of operational and training best practices, and joint media and trade familiarization trips.
Since strengthening their interline agreement in March 2023, Emirates and PAL have connected travelers to a broader network of domestic and international destinations through key hubs in Cebu, Clark, and Dubai.
Emirates, which has served Manila since 1990, now operates 28 weekly flights to the Philippines, providing 22,700 weekly seats and connections to over 140 global destinations. The airline recently reaffirmed its commitment to the Filipino market with the opening of its first Emirates World Store in Manila.
