Puregold posts strong Q1 2025 results with 10.8% year-on-year revenue growth

Grocery retail giant Puregold Price Club, Inc. (PGOLD) reported a robust performance in the first quarter of 2025, with consolidated revenues rising 10.8% year-over-year to ₱52.42 billion, up from ₱47.32 billion in the same period last year.

The company delivered solid same-store sales growth (SSSG), driven by improved consumer demand. Puregold Stores posted a 5.9% SSSG, fueled by increased basket sizes, while S&R Warehouse Clubs recorded a 4.0% SSSG due to higher customer traffic.

PGOLD’s consolidated net income rose 6.5% to ₱2.64 billion, compared to ₱2.48 billion in Q1 2024. This was supported by strong topline performance and stable gross margins.

As of the end of March 2025, PGOLD operates a total of 757 stores across the Philippines, including 662 Puregold stores, 30 S&R Membership Shopping Warehouses, and 65 S&R New York Style quick-service restaurants (QSRs).
