Marcos Jr. reaffirms commitment to infrastructure development, highlights progress on North-South railway

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reiterated his administration’s strong commitment to infrastructure upgrades, emphasizing the significant progress being made on the 38-kilometer  line connecting Malolos, Bulacan, to Manila.

The President announced that the project is currently over 72 percent complete and is expected to be finalized within the next four years. “Sa kasalukuyan, mahigit 72 porsyento na ang nagagawa. At asahan po ninyo matatapos ito siguro mga apat na taon pa – pero matatapos po ito para maging mas maginhawa ang pagbiyahe ninyo sa inyong mga trabaho at ‘pag pupunta ng Maynila,” he said.

The NSCR, once completed, will drastically improve public transportation, offering a more efficient and convenient commute for residents and workers traveling between Malolos, Bulacan, and Valenzuela City.

In addition to the NSCR, President Marcos Jr. also provided an update on the San Ildefonso–San Miguel Bypass Road in Bulacan, a key component of the Plaridel Bypass extension. He reported that this project is 77.23 percent complete and is on track for completion by December 2025.

“Sa tulong ng mga repormang ito, mababawasan ang oras ng biyahe ng mga Pilipino at mas marami na kayong mailalaang panahon para sa inyong sarili at para sa inyong mga pamilya,” President Marcos Jr. stated, emphasizing the tangible benefits of these infrastructure improvements on the daily lives of Filipino families.

The President assured the public that these projects are part of a broader, nationwide effort to enhance infrastructure and improve connectivity across the Philippines. He reiterated his call for national unity, urging Filipinos to prioritize the common good over personal interests.

This administration remains dedicated to delivering infrastructure projects that will drive economic growth, improve quality of life, and build a stronger, more connected Philippines.
