Erwin Tulfo leads latest SWS Survey on voter preference for Senators for May 2025 elections

Erwin Tulfo (LAKAS) continues to be the top choice among potential senatorial candidates for the upcoming May 2025 elections, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted in May 2025. The survey, which covers voter preferences across the Philippines, shows Tulfo maintaining a strong lead with 45% of respondents selecting him.

Following Tulfo, former Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto (NPC) and Senator Pia Cayetano (NP) are statistically tied for the 3rd to 4th spot, with Sotto garnering 37% and Cayetano at 34%. Senator Lito Lapid (NPC) also holds a strong position with 34%, placing him in the 4th to 5th rank.

The May 2025 survey reveals some shifts in voter sentiment compared to previous months. While Tulfo has consistently held the top spot since December 2024, maintaining a preference rate between 42% and 45%, other candidates have seen fluctuations in their rankings.

Notably, Senator Bong Go (PDPLBN) remains a strong contender, securing 43% in May, placing him at 2nd rank. Former Senator Ping Lacson (IND) is preferred by 32% of voters, ranking him at 6th place. Ben Tulfo (IND) also figures prominently with 34% (ranked 4th-5th).

Other individuals consistently within the preferred range include:

  • Abby Binay (NPC) with 31% (ranked 7th-8th)
  • Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa (PDPLBN) with 31% (ranked 7th-8th)
  • Camille Villar (NP) with 30% (ranked 9th-10th)
  • Bong Revilla, Ramon, Jr. (LAKAS) with 29% (ranked 11th-12th)
  • Imee R. Marcos (NP) with 29% (ranked 11th-12th)

The survey results indicate a dynamic political landscape as the 2025 elections approach. While some familiar names continue to dominate voter preferences, shifts in rankings suggest that public opinion is still evolving.
