The Philippine Ports Authority has assured that ports nationwide will give priority access for the cargoes of Commission on Elections (COMELEC) for the upcoming Election 2025.
PPA said that ports will give priority access and priority loading/unloading of election cargo.
The port agency is also coordinating with the shipping lines and port terminal operators to ensure proper loading and unloading of the COMELEC equipment and materials, the agency said.
PPA also commits to provide logistical coordination and assistance to the COMELEC, Armed Forces of the Philippines, and the Philippine National Police, especially in the islands and remote areas.
The agency has also placed its personnel on standby to address any concern or emergency at the port.
Ensuring the safety of passengers and cargoes and efficient operations are part of the PPA mandate, it noted.
