Mober forays in Thailand with first overseas EV fleet charging hub investment

Mober, the Philippines first all-electric vehicle delivery company focused on business to business model, is investing in a fleet charging hub in Thailand to serve the requirements of its major client – Ikea.
Dennis Ng, Mober founder and CEO, said the Thailand investment will deliver an initial of 21 electric trucks starting May 15, 2025, bringing its green logistics thrust overseas for the very first time. Mober plans to grow the fleet to 70 units by the end of Q1 2026, all 100 percent electric.
At the heart of this launch is a 1,600 sqm charging hub in BangNa, with 4 slower chargers (22 kW) and 2 fast chargers (60 kW) to power its fleet. The current capacity allows them to handle around 150–200 deliveries per day, depending on routes and load.

Mober invested around 35 million baht, approximately over USD1 million, to cover the fleet, the charging hub, and operations.

“We chose Thailand because we were awarded as one of IKEA Thailand’s delivery partners, and this opportunity aligns with our mission to provide sustainable, zero-emission logistics,” he said.

“This setup lets us grow our green operations sustainably. Partnering with IKEA Thailand, these trucks produce no pollution and keep deliveries efficient. This launch isn’t about noise—it’s about steady, meaningful steps toward cleaner cities,” said Ng.
“We believe in making steady, green changes. This is just the start of our journey,” said Ng, who expressed gratitude to its Mober team led by Jade Adrienne Hugo Nattcha N. for their hard work and to IKEA Thailand for trusting Mober.

In March this year, Mober opened its first Central Charge, the Philippines largest commercial EV charging station along Macapagal Ave in Pasay City.

The state of the art facility covers 3,000 square meters with 56-port capacity, all for the exclusive use of its primary clients Ikea, Nestle Philippines and Maersk.

With a structured three-shift system, it has the capacity to charge up to 200 EV trucks daily, ensuring round-the-clock operational support for its logistics fleet.

Mober plans to raise PHP500 million for its planned expansion in the Philippines for 300 EVs to beef up its current fleet of 200 EVs.  The plan is to grow its EV fleet, a combination of e-vans and e-trucks, to 1,500 units within five years.
