LTO suspends minibus driver’s license following Baguio road crash

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended the driver’s license of the minibus driver involved in the May 10th road crash in Baguio City, which resulted in injuries to 13 individuals, including a motorcycle driver.

The LTO issued a 90-day suspension, acting on the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to prioritize commuter safety and well-being. The Department of Transportation (DOTr) commended the LTO for its swift action, including the issuance of a show cause order (SCO) to the driver.

The DOTr is sending a clear message to all Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) drivers and operators that negligence will not be tolerated. It is committed to ensuring the safety of the riding public, and failure to adhere to transportation laws will be met with severe consequences. The LTO investigation into the incident is ongoing.
