IRIS Lines, the shipping division of Royal Cargo Group, has partnered with Trans-Asia Shipping Lines Inc. for the launch of new domestic shipping service from Manila to Mindanao starting May 28, 2025.
The joint venture will enhance services to established routes and provide additional routing options for greater operational flexibility.
In an advisory, IRIS said that a new bi-monthly IRIS Miko service from Davao-Gensan Express will leave every other Saturday at the Manila North Harbor port. From General Santos, IRIS Miko will sail to Davao and Cagayan de Oro before going back to Manila.
Another service Davao-Zamboanga Express will use Trans-Asia 15 ship to sail bi-month every other Saturday from Manila North Harbor to Davao-Zamboanga-Cagayan de Oro and then back to Manila.
A third service, the Manila-Cebu Express (MCX) using Trans-Asia 12 will sail every Monday from Manila North Harbor to Cebu and Manila.
IRIS will still maintain its regular weekly service to Davao, now operated through both IRIS and Trans-Asia vessels.
