In a record-breaking feat, the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) concluded its 3-day canvassing (May 13, 14, & 15, 2025) of all Certificates of Canvass from the May 12, 2025, National and Local Elections.
The NBOC successfully canvassed a total of 175 Certificates of Canvass (COCs), broken down as follows:
- Overseas COCs: 64
- Local COCs: 110
- Local Absentee Voting: 1
The canvassing was completed in the following schedule:
- May 13, 2025 (Tuesday): 58 COCs Canvassed
- May 14, 2025 (Wednesday): 101 COCs Canvassed
- May 15, 2025 (Thursday): 16 COCs Canvassed
The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) also reported that the May 12, 2025, National and Local Elections yielded an impressive 81.65% voter turnout. A total of 55,874,700 out of 68,431,965 registered voters cast their ballots. COMELEC noted that this is the highest voter turnout in the history of Philippine midterm elections.
COMELEC clarified that the voter turnout figure is an initial, unofficial estimate and is subject to finalization upon the completion of canvassing by all Boards of Canvassers.
