In line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to prioritize the welfare of government employees, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has successfully distributed the Mid-Year Bonus to a total of 230,925 uniformed and non-uniformed personnel, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting the country’s law enforcement frontliners.
The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) allocated a total of ₱7,726,103,239 for this initiative, which was directly credited to the Landbank ATM payroll accounts of qualified PNP personnel. The Mid-Year Bonus, equivalent to one month’s basic salary, is granted to those who have rendered at least four months of service from July 1 of the previous year to May 15 of the current year and are in active service as of May 15.
PNP Chief, Police General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, underscored the significance of the Mid-Year Bonus in bolstering the morale and dedication of police officers and staff.
“The Mid-Year Bonus is a recognition of the dedication and faithful service of our police and Non-Uniformed Personnel. Under the leadership of our President, this is a concrete step in boosting their morale and supporting their continued service to the people,” General Marbil stated.
The bonus covers all eligible personnel, including police officers, cadets, and non-uniformed staff of the organization. Those with pending administrative or criminal cases are also eligible to receive the benefit, unless found guilty by a final and executory judgment, in which case they will forfeit the bonus and be required to return the amount. Personnel who receive only a reprimand, however, will remain eligible.
This timely distribution is a testament to the government’s enduring support for the PNP, reinforcing the commitment of every officer to uphold their duty to serve and protect the Filipino people with integrity, loyalty, and professionalism.
