Maersk is pleased to announce a series of enhancements to its Manila North and Subic Laden Preadvise process, aimed at improving service quality and overall customer experience. These changes are effective as of March 31, 2025, and will streamline the booking, gate-in, and pre-advice request process for all shipments.
The key changes are outlined as follows:
- Submission of Pre-Advise Requests
All laden pre-advise requests must now be sent to luzonpreadvise@maersk.com before gate-in. Customers are required to include the booking confirmation as an attachment with their request. It is important to note:
No attachment = No pre-advice.
Requests must be made per container, and multiple requests should not be sent in a single email.
- Required Information in Email Body
To ensure accurate processing, the email subject should clearly indicate the container and port details. Additionally, the body of the email should include the following required information:
- Booking Number
- Container Number
- POD (Place of Delivery)
- Seal Number
- Cargo Details (including temperature for reefers)
- Container Size/Type and IMO (if Dangerous Cargo)
- Shipper Information
- Gross Weight/VGM
- Vessel/Voyage
- Requests should clearly specify whether the shipment is destined for Manila North or Subic Port.
- 24/7 Processing with Quick Turnaround
Maersk is committed to providing timely service. All requests are accommodated 24/7, with a standard turnaround time of just 2 hours.
- Amendments to Pre-advise
If any changes are needed after submitting a pre-advice, customers should send a new email with the subject “AMENDMENT OF PREADVISE FOR CONTAINER XXXX” and specify the updated details. The customer is requested to wait for confirmation before proceeding with the gate-in.
- Reminders for Customers
Settlement of Charges: Arrastre, weighing, cranage, and wharfage fees must still be settled separately. Arrastre and cranage charges should be settled through ACTS, while wharfage payments are to be made directly to the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA).
Impediment Settlement: Any impediments must be resolved 18 hours before the Estimated Time of Berthing (ETB).
SOC Shipments: A pre-advice request can only be submitted once an SOC (Shipper Owned Container) activation request has been sent to ph.export@maersk.com.
Dangerous Cargo: For dangerous cargo, customers must submit the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and other pertinent details such as proper names and hazard numbers.
Pre-Advice Validity: Preadvise confirmation is valid only within 48 hours of receipt.
