STI Holdings posts 45% increase in net income to P1.62 billion in Q3

STI Education Systems Holdings, Inc. (STI Holdings), the owner of the country’s largest network of private schools, has reported a remarkable 45% increase in net income to P1.62 billion for the nine months ending March 31, 2025.

This is a significant improvement from the P1.12 billion recorded during the same period last year.

The growth was primarily driven by higher enrollment numbers, reflecting strong demand for the quality education offered by its subsidiaries: STI Education Services Group (STI ESG), STI West Negros University (STI WNU), and iACADEMY.

Revenues for the three quarters from July 2024 to March 2025 surged 23% to P4.14 billion, compared to P3.35 billion in the same period the previous year.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) also rose to P2.34 billion, marking an increase of P577.0 million from last year’s P1.77 billion.

For the first quarter of 2025 (January to March), revenues grew by 8% to P1.51 billion, up by P114.4 million from P1.39 billion in the same period in 2024.

Net income for the quarter also increased by 18% to P706.6 million, compared to P600.3 million in the prior year.

STI Holdings attributed this growth to the expansion of its student population, which reached 138,060 in School Year 2024-2025—a 15% increase from the 119,543 enrolled in School Year 2023-2024.

Operating income for the three months ending March 31, 2025, rose by 18% to P774.4 million, up from P658.8 million in the same period last year.

This improvement was driven by enhanced operational performance and effective cost management.

STI Holdings operates three subsidiaries:

STI Education Services Group (STI ESG): Offers associate and baccalaureate degrees, technical-vocational programs, and junior and senior high school education across various fields, including ICT, Business, Hospitality, Tourism, Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Education, Psychology, and Criminology.

STI West Negros University (STI WNU): This university provides programs from pre-elementary to graduate levels. Located in Bacolod City, it was granted Autonomous status by CHED in September 2024.

iACADEMY: Specializes in senior high school and college programs focused on Computing, Business, and Design.

Known for its industry partnerships, iACADEMY recently launched the BS Digital Media Management program, the first of its kind in the Philippines, on April 26, 2025.
