Cebu Pacific launches “Juan Flight Closer to Home” to bring Overseas Filipino engineers back to Philippine aviation

Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, has officially launched “Juan Flight Closer to Home,” a dedicated Balikbayan program aimed at encouraging Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)—specifically engineers with global experience—to return to the Philippines and build fulfilling careers in local aviation.

The initiative is a strategic part of Cebu Pacific’s broader commitment to strengthen its Engineering and Fleet Management team, as the airline continues to scale up its domestic and international operations. Even before the campaign’s formal launch, more than ten overseas Filipino engineers have already come onboard, underscoring strong interest in opportunities back home.

“Filipino engineers have long earned the respect of the global aviation industry. Now, we’re offering them a pathway to bring that excellence back to the Philippines,” said Felix Lopez, Chief Human Resources Officer at Cebu Pacific. “This program is about more than recruitment—it’s about creating a meaningful homecoming where skills, purpose, and national pride meet.”

To ease the transition for returning professionals, Cebu Pacific offers a comprehensive relocation package that includes:

  • A complimentary flight to Manila with baggage allowance
  • One-time relocation assistance
  • Travel benefits for employees and their dependents
  • Day-one healthcare coverage

CEB is actively hiring for a range of technical roles, including positions in avionics, airframe systems, aircraft structures, and engineering planning—critical functions that ensure the airline’s continued operational safety and efficiency.

“Juan Flight Closer to Home” is part of Cebu Pacific’s long-standing mission to empower Filipinos, not only through travel but through meaningful careers that are rooted in local talent and global standards.
