Global leaders convene at 2025 FIATA-RAP field meeting to shape the future of logistics

The 2025 FIATA-Region Asia-Pacific (RAP) Field Meeting, hosted by the Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI), concluded successfully in New Delhi from 21–24 May 2025, bringing together over 165 industry leaders from across the globe. With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development, the event marked a key milestone in the ongoing evolution of the global supply chain and logistics ecosystem.

The meeting served as a dynamic forum for freight forwarders, leading airlines, airport authorities, policymakers, and international trade organizations to exchange insights and chart a course for the future of logistics across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

The official opening ceremony, marked by the traditional lighting of the lamp, underscored the spirit of unity and knowledge-sharing. Distinguished dignitaries in attendance included Mr. M R Venkatesh, Eminent Economist; Mr. Surjit Bhujbal, Member, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC); Mr. Piyush Srivastava, Senior Economic Advisor, Ministry of Civil Aviation; Mr. Turgut Erkeskin, FIATA President; Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Counsellor, Head of Trade Office of the Vietnam Embassy in India; Mr. C.K. Govil, ACAAI President; and Mr. Sameer Shah, ACAAI Vice President.

FIATA President Mr. Turgut Erkeskin emphasized India’s growing influence in global trade, stating: “Through new economic corridors like the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor, India is helping connect South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe in a new and important way.” ACAAI President Mr. C.K. Govil echoed the call for greater innovation and connectivity, reinforcing the sector’s commitment to progress and sustainability.

A keynote address by Mr. M R Venkatesh set the stage for two days of thought-provoking dialogue, culminating in a closing vote of thanks by Mr. Sameer Shah, ACAAI Vice President.

FIATA extends its deepest gratitude to ACAAI and its President, Mr. C.K. Govil, for their exceptional hospitality and organization, which ensured the success of this landmark event.
