Air India launches non-stop flights between Delhi and Manila

Air India, India’s leading global airline, today announced the launch of non-stop flights between Delhi and Manila, marking a major milestone in regional connectivity and making Air India the only carrier to operate direct services between India and the Philippines. The new route will commence operations on 01 October 2025, offering enhanced travel options for tourists, business travellers, and the Indian diaspora.

The flights will operate five times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays – using Air India’s state-of-the-art Airbus A321neo aircraft. The service will feature a three-class cabin configuration comprising Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy, ensuring a comfortable and customized travel experience for every type of flyer.

With the Philippines recently granting visa-free entry to Indian tourists for up to 14 days, Air India’s new service is set to further stimulate tourism, allowing travellers easy access to the country’s famed destinations such as Boracay, Palawan, and Cebu.

“The introduction of our Delhi-Manila route is yet another step in our mission to connect India with more of the world, non-stop,” said Campbell Wilson, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Air India. “As outbound travel from India grows at an unprecedented pace, the new entry rules for Indian tourists are a shot in the arm to boost tourism to the Philippines. We are happy to facilitate new opportunities for cultural exchange and economic collaboration between the two nations, while bringing the new Air India to more travellers around the world.”

The Philippines, with its 7,000+ islands, vibrant culture, and scenic beauty, is emerging as a key destination for Indian tourists. This new route also bolsters India-Philippines trade ties, which saw bilateral trade nearly double from USD 1.89 billion in 2015-16 to USD 3.53 billion in 2023-24, according to the Embassy of India in Manila.

Air India’s Delhi-Manila flights also provide seamless one-stop connectivity from Europe, leveraging Delhi as a strategic transit hub.
