Hundreds flock to DMW overseas job fair in Quezon City

In a significant celebration of the 127th Independence Day, hundreds of eager job seekers converged at Robinsons Galleria in Quezon City this morning for the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Overseas Job Fair. The event provides a crucial platform for Filipinos to explore and seize international employment opportunities.

The job fair, a flagship initiative of the DMW, features 10 legitimate licensed recruitment agencies, collectively offering a substantial 3,700 approved job orders. These positions span a wide array of in-demand industries, including healthcare, education, hospitality, construction, and maritime sectors, catering to diverse skill sets and professional backgrounds.

“This Overseas Job Fair is a testament to our commitment to empowering Filipino workers and connecting them with legitimate and valuable employment opportunities abroad,” DMW said. “On this Independence Day, we reinforce our dedication to the welfare and advancement of every Filipino, at home and overseas.”

The event is open to both pre-registered applicants and walk-ins. While registered individuals can proceed directly, those who did not register online are accommodated through designated drop boxes for resume submission per agency, ensuring accessibility for all interested participants. This streamlined process aims to facilitate connections between qualified job seekers and reputable overseas employers.

The DMW emphasizes that this fair serves as a vital opportunity for applicants to directly engage with licensed recruitment agencies that have validated job orders, safeguarding them from illegal recruitment activities.
