The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) officially inaugurated its new “BSP Hub” on June 5, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the central bank’s commitment to making its services more accessible and convenient for all Filipinos. The facility, located at the BSP head office along Roxas Boulevard in Manila, opened its doors to the public on June 9, 2025.
The BSP Hub is designed as a comprehensive one-stop shop, streamlining public interaction with the central bank. Visitors can now directly engage with BSP personnel regarding concerns related to financial institutions under the BSP’s authority, purchase official BSP merchandise, commemorative notes and coins, and special BSP publications. The hub also facilitates various transactions involving BSP-acquired real properties, among other essential services.
Additionally, the facility enriches public understanding and engagement with the nation’s monetary heritage. It proudly houses the Museo BSP, showcasing the Philippines’ rich numismatic history, along with the BSP Library, meeting rooms, and an auditorium designated for financial and economic learning initiatives and public events.
BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr. emphasized the hub’s overarching purpose, stating, “The BSP Hub is more than just another building. It is the space where the BSP connects with the people.”
The realization of the BSP Hub is largely attributed to the vision of Monetary Board Member Benjamin E. Diokno, who spearheaded the initiative during his tenure as BSP Governor from 2019 to 2022. “We envisioned a new purpose for this space: a one-stop shop with a simple mission to ‘bring the BSP to all,’” MBM Diokno remarked. “Today, almost five years later, it is both a relief and a joy to see this vision come to life.” He noted that the project addressed the need for a secure and safe space for public transactions, especially recognizing the limitations highlighted by the 2020 pandemic.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by a distinguished roster of officials, including Monetary Board Members Romeo L. Bernardo, Rosalia V. De Leon, Walter C. Wassmer, and Jose L. Querubin, as well as BSP Deputy Governors Chuchi G. Fonacier, Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, Elmore O. Capule, Zeno Ronald R. Abenoja, and other key BSP officials.
