BSP New Clark City project completes key design milestone

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) announces that its landmark New Clark City Project is officially back on track, with the completion of the Detailed Architectural and Engineering Design (DAED) documents. Finalized by Aidea, Inc., the project’s Architectural and Engineering (A&E) consultant, this milestone marks a critical step in advancing toward the procurement of the project’s general contractor.

Designed to reflect operational resilience and long-term sustainability, the new BSP complex will serve as a vital alternative site that supports the government’s strategy to decongest Metro Manila and bolster business continuity and disaster preparedness.

The world-class design of the BSP New Clark City complex has already garnered international acclaim. It was recognized at the prestigious 2022 Architecture MasterPrize under the Architectural Design – Institutional Architecture category, reinforcing the project’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon expressed strong government support for the development, reiterating the administration’s goal to complete the northern section of the North-South Commuter Railway before the end of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s term. This infrastructure will significantly improve access to New Clark City and the BSP facility.

Further enhancing connectivity, the feasibility study for a railway line linking Clark International Airport directly to the BSP complex is currently underway and expected to be completed by August 2025. The corresponding loan agreement is on track for finalization by the end of the year.

In support of the expanding infrastructure, Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President and CEO Joshua Bingcang confirmed the signing of a contract with a South Korean firm to develop new housing facilities in the surrounding area. These developments are part of a broader effort to build a vibrant, fully integrated government and economic hub in Central Luzon.

The BSP remains committed to nation-building through resilient infrastructure that supports financial stability, sustainability, and regional growth.
