Kuehne+Nagel ranks as a leader in Gartner magic quadrant for third-party logistics

Kuehne+Nagel, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, announces its continued recognition as a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Third-Party Logistics, Worldwide 2025. This marks another consecutive year that Kuehne+Nagel has been positioned among a cluster of three top-performing logistics companies, maintaining its status as a top performer on the ability to execute and a visionary logistics provider globally.

Gartner’s latest report highlights Kuehne+Nagel’s strong performance across its comprehensive suite of logistics services. The company’s unparalleled global scale was specifically noted, underscored by its position as the world’s largest ocean freight forwarder, managing nearly 4.3 million TEUs annually. With an expansive footprint across approximately 100 countries and a dedicated workforce of over 80,000 professionals operating from 1,300 locations, Kuehne+Nagel’s worldwide reach remains unmatched.

Key to sustaining its leadership position, Gartner acknowledged Kuehne+Nagel’s unwavering focus on customer-centric logistics and strategic growth initiatives. The report specifically recognized recent strategic acquisitions – including Apex Logistics in China, IMC Logistics in North America, Farrow for trade management, and City Zone Express in Asia-Pacific – as crucial enablers of its enhanced industry-specific solutions and heightened market responsiveness. The broad and tailored logistics service offerings across multiple modes of transport—sea, air, road, and contract logistics—were also praised, alongside specialized services catering to high-tech sectors such as semiconductors and servers.

While acknowledging Kuehne+Nagel’s competitive advantages in premium service offerings and global scale, Gartner’s report suggested opportunities for improvement in visibility among small to midsize businesses and clearer communication of capabilities in growth and emerging industries. Addressing these insights, Kuehne+Nagel stated, “As we continue to customise and segment our service portfolio, we are focused on expanding our accessibility for businesses of all sizes through more local proximity, as demonstrated with the opening of more than 30 new customer care locations in the US in 2024.” The company also emphasized its ongoing expansion of services in emerging industries and markets, alongside the introduction of new AI-based products, as central to its strategic growth plan.

This consistent recognition by Gartner reinforces Kuehne+Nagel’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and delivering unparalleled value to its global clientele across all sectors.
