Cebu Pacific named among Asia’s best companies in 2025 FinanceAsia Awards

Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading carrier, has been recognized as one of Asia’s Best Companies in the prestigious 2025 FinanceAsia Awards, earning Silver in the Transportation category. CEB is the only Philippine airline—and one of just four across Asia—to be honored in this year’s list.

Presented annually by FinanceAsia, a premier regional financial publication, the awards spotlight companies that demonstrate excellence in corporate governance, investor relations, and overall financial performance.

“Our leadership in Philippine aviation is the result of thoughtful and deliberate decisions made over time,” said Xander Lao, President and Chief Commercial Officer of Cebu Pacific. “We have a long-term vision, maintained financial discipline, and built resilient operations to overcome challenges. These guiding principles ensure our growth remains responsible and sustainable while keeping our customers’ best interests at heart.”

This recognition comes at a time of significant growth for Cebu Pacific, underscored by bold initiatives in fleet modernization and network expansion. In 2024, CEB signed a landmark purchase agreement with Airbus for up to 152 A321neo aircraft—the largest single aircraft order in Philippine aviation history.

The airline also launched 28 new routes—19 domestic and 9 international—connecting more travelers to exciting destinations such as Chiang Mai, Kaohsiung, and Sapporo, while also strengthening its network through new hubs in Davao and Iloilo, in addition to its core bases in Manila, Cebu, and Clark.

Further expanding its global reach, CEB signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi Arabia’s fastest-growing low-cost carrier, flyadeal, to wet-lease two Airbus A320 aircraft during the Kingdom’s peak summer travel season. A reciprocal wet-lease arrangement is being explored for CEB’s winter peak in Southeast Asia.

These strategic moves are aligned with the airline’s ambition to carry 30 million passengers in 2025, propelled by stronger hub operations and increased seat capacity across its domestic and international network.

Cebu Pacific currently operates flights to 37 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
