Vivant Corp. reaffirms commitment to sustainable growth

Vivant Corporation underscored its commitment to sustainable and responsible growth during its 2025 Annual Stockholders’ Meeting, highlighting strategic progress in its energy and water businesses as part of its roadmap toward 2030.

Describing 2024 as a year of “focus and disciplined execution,” Vivant Corporation CEO Arlo G. Sarmiento attributed the company’s strong performance to “deliberate choices, clear priorities, and disciplined execution.” These efforts, he noted, reflect Vivant’s mission to deliver solutions that improve everyday living.

Energy: Expanding Access and Strengthening Stability

Vivant Energy advanced its renewable energy initiatives while continuing to operate conventional energy assets vital to maintaining grid stability. The company expanded its footprint in both on-grid and off-grid areas, fortified its retail electricity operations under new leadership, and improved energy access through newly signed Power Supply Agreements in mainland Palawan and the island of Busuanga.

Water: Advancing Long-Term Solutions

In water infrastructure, Vivant Water marked key milestones toward full operations of the Isla Mactan-Cordova Corporation desalination facility. The company also solidified its partnership with the Metropolitan Cebu Water District through a 25-year Joint Venture Agreement signed in April 2025. Testing and commissioning of the plant are ongoing, with commercial operations expected to begin in the second half of the year. Meanwhile, its wastewater treatment facility in Puerto Princesa continued to operate in full compliance with regulatory standards.

“As we move toward 2030, our efforts in energy and water remain aligned with the country’s long-term needs,” said Mr. Sarmiento. “We’re focused on growing responsibly and building solutions that matter.”
