Pres. Marcos Jr vows “significant and tangible” improvements by 2028

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has declared his resolute commitment to ushering in a period of “significant and tangible” improvements in the lives of Filipinos by the end of his term in 2028. In the fourth and final part of the BBM Podcast Episode 2, aired on Saturday, the President articulated his vision to be remembered for making “a change for the better” across the nation.

President Marcos emphasized that a core principle guiding his tenure in every government position he has held has been to effect meaningful change that genuinely uplifts lives. “We made a change for the better,” President Marcos stated when asked about the legacy he wishes to leave. “This has been my guide in all the positions I’ve taken. The worst thing that can happen is for you to sit in your position, serve, leave, and nothing has changed.”

He further underscored his unwavering determination, asserting, “So, I absolutely insist that in 2028, when I leave this office, there are significant and tangible changes that will uplift the life of every Filipino.”

In recent weeks, President Marcos has demonstrated a clear “action man” leadership style, marked by a series of installations, inspections, and directives. This hands-on approach to governance has been primarily focused on enhancing the country’s economy and directly addressing the basic needs of the Filipino people. These initiatives reflect his dedication to ensuring that his administration’s impact is both profound and perceivable in the everyday lives of citizens.
