Tsuneishi expands technical services in Cebu operation for new clients

Tsuneishi Technical Services (Phils.) Inc. (TTSP), a subsidiary of Tsuneishi Holdings (Cebu), Inc. (THCI), is expanding its operations to support the growing shipbuilding business of the Tsuneishi group in Balamban, Cebu. 
To pursue the expansion, a Supplemental Agreement (SA) was signed by Philippine Economic Zone Authority Director General Tereso O. Panga and TTSP President Segismundo F. Exaltacion Jr. The signing ceremony on June 18, 2025 was witnessed by PEZA Deputy Director General for Operations Vivian S. Santos and TTSP Deputy General Manager Arvin Rivera. 
Panga said that for TTSP’s expansion, it is targeting new clients outside Tsuneishi Group. “Their biggest market is Europe, but they are also planning to venture out in Japan, Singapore, and Vietnam,” Panga said.
Under this newly-registered project, TTSP shall engage in computer-aided retrofitting design from laser scanning (CADMATIC data output from 3D Laser Scanning) at their facility in West Cebu Estate in Balamban, Cebu. This project worth more than PHP 50 million is expected to start commercial operations by June 2025.
A subsidiary of  THCI, TTSP provides support to the overall operations of Tsuneishi in Balamban. To date, THCI the company has invested more than PHP 100 million and provided jobs to above 500 workers.
As a parent company, THCI oversees various Tsuneishi Group companies in the Philippines, including Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu), Inc., a joint venture between the Tsuneishi Group and the Aboitiz Group, focusing on shipbuilding and ship repair.
Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu) specializes in building bulk carriers in Cebu and is one of the largest shipyards in the Philippines.
