The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced the commencement of the bidding process for two significant airport development projects aimed at enhancing air travel infrastructure and safety in the Philippines. Interested and qualified bidders are invited to submit their proposals for the Kalibo International Airport and Vigan Airport development initiatives.
The first project, the Kalibo International Airport Development Project (Continuation of Site Development at Landslide Area), seeks to ensure the long-term stability and operational safety of one of the country’s vital gateways, particularly to popular tourist destinations like Boracay. The Request for Expression of Interest (RFEOI) for this project is now available.
Similarly, the DOTr is also inviting bidders for the Vigan Airport Development Project (Completion of Fence and Construction of Airport Canal). This project is crucial for bolstering airport security, preventing unauthorized access, and improving drainage systems within the airport premises, ensuring more efficient and safer operations. The corresponding RFEOI for this project has also been released.
Copies of the Request for Expression of Interest (RFEOI) for both projects are affixed to this announcement and are also readily available for direct download. Interested parties may access these documents from the official website of the Department of Transportation at www.dotr.gov.ph and the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGEPS) at www.philgeps.gov.ph.
The DOTr encourages all prospective bidders to review the detailed requirements and specifications outlined in the RFEOI documents. These projects underscore the Department’s unwavering commitment to developing modern, safe, and efficient transportation systems across the archipelago.
