Pierre Carlo Curay returns as president of SCMAP

The Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines (SCMAP) announced the appointment of Pierre Carlo Curay as its new President, effective July 1, 2025. Curay, who previously served as SCMAP President from 2021-2022, returns to lead the organization, succeeding Dennis Llovido.

Llovido, whose term ended June 30, following his retirement from Nestlé Philippines, will remain an active voice within SCMAP as a member of the Supply Chain Leaders’ Advisory Council. In this capacity, he will contribute to key initiatives, including the development of the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Supply Chain and Logistics Center.

Curay, representing XVC Logistics, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record to his renewed presidency. During his previous term, largely defined by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, he championed SCMAP’s commitment to national development, advocating for the supply chain sector’s crucial role in the country’s progress.

A key highlight of his prior leadership was his instrumental involvement in the creation of the Deliver-E platform. This initiative, developed with support from the Department of Trade and Industry, the Department of Agriculture, and USAID, effectively addressed critical food supply chain issues. Curay was also a principal convenor of Pilipinas Kontra Gutom, a multi-sectoral movement under then-Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, dedicated to combating hunger and enhancing food security.

Under Curay’s previous leadership, SCMAP solidified its position as the Philippines’ premier supply chain organization, fostering stronger collaborations with both public and private sector stakeholders. His tenure also saw the successful return of in-person events for the association in 2022.

Beyond his role at XVC Logistics, Curay is the founder of InsightSCS, a logistics technology firm. He also chairs the Supply Chain and Logistics Committee of the Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is a highly sought-after speaker on supply chain and technology topics, both locally and internationally.

A decision regarding the new vacancy on the SCMAP Board of Directors will be announced in due course.
