Migrant Workers Office launches pilot program for online contract verification

The Migrant Workers Office – Dubai and Northern Emirates (MWO-Dubai) announced the pilot implementation of an online contract verification system, set to begin on July 7, 2025. This innovative digital initiative aims to provide a faster, more secure, and hassle-free option for land-based Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) residing in Dubai and the Northern Emirates to have their employment contracts verified.

The pilot program will run for thirty days, during which OFWs with visas or Emirates IDs issued in Dubai, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm Al Quwain will be able to utilize the new online system. This new option is designed to significantly improve accessibility and efficiency, allowing OFWs to apply for contract verification from any location, eliminating the need to travel to the MWO-Dubai office.

“We are thrilled to introduce this online contract verification option, which represents a significant step forward in our commitment to serving our Overseas Filipino Workers more effectively,” said a representative from MWO-Dubai. “This system is designed to provide convenience and speed, ensuring that our OFWs can secure their employment documents with greater ease and less disruption to their daily lives.”

Following the 30-day pilot period, the system’s feasibility and effectiveness will be thoroughly evaluated. Feedback from OFWs who utilize the system will be crucial to this assessment. A feedback survey will be available at the end of the application process, and MWO-Dubai strongly encourages all users to participate and share their experiences. The insights gathered will directly inform the future full-scale implementation of the online verification system.

MWO-Dubai remains dedicated to enhancing its services and leveraging technology to better support the welfare and needs of Overseas Filipino Workers in the region.
