DOTr Sec. Dizon condemns killing of SAICT enforcer, vows swift justice

Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon expressed profound outrage and condemned in the strongest terms the heinous killing of Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT) enforcer Hervin T. Cabanban in Cavite. Secretary Dizon affirmed that the DOTr is actively coordinating with law enforcement agencies to ensure the immediate apprehension and prosecution of the perpetrator/s.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has issued a direct order to the DOTr to ensure that justice is swiftly attained for Mr. Cabanban and his grieving family.

“I strongly condemn in the strongest terms the heinous killing of our SAICT enforcer. President Bongbong Marcos has already ordered the swift resolution of this crime. To those who killed our SAICT enforcer, I assure you, justice will pursue you,” Secretary Dizon stated emphatically.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the family of our colleague at DOTr-SAICT. We will continue to collaborate with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) until swift and true justice is achieved for our colleague,” he added.

The DOTr reiterates its unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring the safety of its personnel who are dedicated to serving the public. The department will provide all necessary assistance to the ongoing investigation to bring the culprits to account.
