In a landmark collaboration aimed at fostering national innovation and empowering local talent, the Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) and the Department of Science and Technology – Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) for the enhanced Innovation and Technology (I-TECH) Lending Program. The signing ceremony took place today, July 15, 2025, at Okada Manila.
This revitalized program marks a significant step forward in supporting Filipino ingenuity. Under the enhanced I-TECH Lending Program, eligible Filipino inventors will now have unprecedented access to interest-free financing, covering up to 85% of their total project costs. This crucial financial support is designed to enable innovators to successfully bring their patented technologies from concept to market, thereby contributing directly to the country’s sustainable economic growth and technological advancement.
The MOA was formally signed by LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz and DOST-TAPI Director Atty. Marion Ivy Decena. Witnessing this pivotal agreement were LANDBANK Executive Vice President Ma. Celeste A. Burgos and DOST-TAPI Division Manager Romeo M. Javate. Also in attendance were LANDBANK First Vice Presidents Atty. Nikkolas G. Tolentino and Eden B. Japitana, underscoring the commitment of both organizations to this shared mission.
