ICTSI implements safety protocols at MICT amidst tropical storm Crising

International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) today issued a Typhoon Advisory informing port users and clients of the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT) that an “intermittent stop-and-go protocol” remains in effect due to severe weather conditions brought by Tropical Storm Crising (international name: Wipha).

The advisory, released today, July 19, 2025, highlights that operations at the MICT gate, yard, and ship are ongoing but with heightened precautions. The decision to implement the intermittent stop-and-go protocol is based on current strong wind conditions, prioritizing the safety and security of all pier users, employees, and cargo.

ICTSI emphasizes that the well-being of its personnel and stakeholders, along with the integrity of cargo, is its utmost priority during this weather disturbance.

Port users and clients are strongly encouraged to carefully check road conditions before traveling to or from the terminal to ensure their safety and minimize disruptions.

ICTSI is a leading port management company involved in the development, management, and operation of container terminals worldwide. With a global portfolio of terminals, ICTSI is committed to providing efficient, reliable, and sustainable port services to its clients and partners.
