The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Land Transportation Office (LTO) has launched the Plate Registration Management Information System (PRMIS) to facilitate the release of Official Receipt/Certificate of Registration (OR/CR) and vehicle license plates within 3 days.
DOTR Secretary Vince Dizon noted that motorists have to wait for months and even years for the release of their OR/CR under the old system.
Dizon said that President Marcos Jr. has directed his office to fast track the release of car plates in three days. This is also in cooperation with the Land Transportation Office and car dealerships.
He asked car dealerships’ assistance so that Filipino buyers can get their car plates on the same day of release of their unit. Dizon said the new system will be rolled out nationwide.
