GMA Network achieves stellar financial performance in first half of 2025

GMA Network, the Philippines’ leading broadcast company, today announced exceptional financial results for the first half of 2025, demonstrating remarkable growth in net income and revenues, alongside its sustained leadership in nationwide ratings and digital presence.

The Network reported a staggering threefold surge in net income after tax, reaching ₱2.0 billion for the first half of 2025, a significant increase from the same period last year. This impressive profitability was underpinned by a substantial rise in consolidated revenues, which climbed to ₱10.1 billion, up from ₱7.8 billion in the prior year.

Advertising revenue was a key driver of this growth, soaring to ₱9.3 billion. This increase was primarily fueled by robust election-related placements during the May midterm polls, complemented by higher revenues from production services and other ancillary sources.

Despite a 6% increase in operating expenses (OPEX) to ₱7.6 billion, primarily due to higher cash and non-cash production costs and general and administrative expenses, GMA Network’s strong revenue generation resulted in a remarkable financial performance. The Network delivered ₱3.8 billion in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) for the period ended June 2025, marking a solid 91% year-over-year increase.

GMA Network’s robust financial showing is further complemented by its continued dominance in nationwide ratings, as validated by Nielsen TV Audience Measurement for H1 2025. The multi-awarded public affairs program, “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” once again emerged as the most-watched show in Urban Philippines for Q2 2025, underscoring the Network’s commitment to delivering compelling and relevant content.

Reaffirming its position as the country’s most credible and top news source, GMA Integrated News’s comprehensive “Eleksyon 2025: The GMA Integrated News Coverage” garnered the highest viewership on-air and online compared to its competitors, highlighting its crucial role in informing the Filipino public.

In the digital realm, GMA Network continues to strengthen its leadership. According to global analytics company Tubular Labs, the Network secured the No. 15 spot in the Tubular Leadership Worldwide rankings for June 2025, solidifying its status as the highest-ranking media company in the Entertainment and Media category in Southeast Asia.
