Cebu Pacific and Bridgestone launch “easytrack” tire management system

Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippines’ leading carrier, and Bridgestone Corporation, a global leader in sustainable mobility and advanced solutions, have officially launched the “easytrack” tire management system. This innovative solution, which uses QR codes and a smartphone app, significantly streamlines aircraft tire tracking and improves operational efficiency across Cebu Pacific’s supply chain.

The easytrack system was implemented in April 2025 following a successful three-month trial period. The results were dramatic: the new system reduced the manual workload for tire inventory management by 50% and virtually eliminated human error. This success has led to its full-scale adoption across CEB’s internal operations, outsourced warehouses, and affiliated Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities.

Traditionally, tracking individual aircraft tires to meet stringent aviation safety standards has been a manual and labor-intensive process, prone to inefficiencies. Bridgestone developed easytrack to address these challenges, ensuring accurate inventory management throughout a tire’s entire lifecycle—from production to return.

“As Cebu Pacific continues to expand its operations, it’s essential that we invest in smart solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce manual workload,” said Shevantha Weerasekera, Cebu Pacific Vice President of Engineering & Fleet Management. “Partnering with Bridgestone to implement the easytrack system has enabled us to significantly improve our tire management processes, ensuring greater accuracy, safety, and productivity across our operations.”

This collaboration highlights Bridgestone’s commitment to creating value through efficiency and sustainability, and reflects Cebu Pacific’s ongoing drive for operational excellence.

“As a value co-creation partner, we have proposed solutions tailored to on-site operations based on insights gained from Cebu Pacific’s frontline,” said Arata Tomita, Bridgestone Corporation’s Director of Global Aviation Tire Solutions Business Division. “We are very pleased that the official implementation of easytrack has contributed to the improvement of operational accuracy, safety, and productivity. Through further expansion of this solution, we will amplify the value of our products and our trust with customers.”

With one of the youngest fleets in the world and a network of 37 domestic and 26 international destinations, Cebu Pacific has flown over 250 million passengers since its inception in March 1996. The adoption of the easytrack system is another step in the airline’s commitment to modernizing its operations for continued growth.
