FAST Logistics Group, the leading end-to-end logistics company in the Philippines, is bringing the rich flavors and craftsmanship of the Bicol Region at WanderMart: Travel & Lifestyle Expo happening at the Crystal Pavilion, Okada Manila from August 15 to 17.
Orgullo Kan Bicol (OKB), Bicol’s flagship trade fair, will be participating as a featured regional showcase at the national event that brings together over 140 travel and lifestyle brands under one roof.
The platform, held in partnership with Okada Manila together with Silk Events Management, supported by the Department of Tourism and Tourism & Promotions Board, gives Bicol’s MSMEs a unique opportunity to connect directly with consumers, institutional buyers, and retailers from Metro Manila and beyond.
FAST, with its expansive transport network and warehousing infrastructure, will ensure that OKB products arrive safely and efficiently from its Bicol hubs to the event venue.
“Helping MSMEs grow through dependable logistics is a responsibility we take to heart,” said Mr. Manuel L. Onrejas Jr., FAST CEO for Logistics. “By making Filipino products more accessible and available, we are enabling local entrepreneurs to reach new markets with confidence.”
Throughout the three-day event, visitors can explore a curated selection of authentic Bicolano offerings from 52 exceptional entrepreneurs — from bottled gourmet delicacies, pili-based sweets, and native snacks, to beautifully crafted home décor and fashion accessories made from indigenous materials like abaca, buri, and karagumoy.
A headline feature of this event is live cooking demonstrations by homegrown chefs and culinary entrepreneurs. Dishes such as Bicol Express and laing will be prepared live on stage using authentic Bicol ingredients, many of which are available for purchase on-site.
OKB promises to be a vibrant mix of tradition and innovation, highlighting products that embody the culture, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of Bicolanos.
“This year’s OKB at Okada Manila’s WANDERMART Travel and Lifestyle Expo is an opportunity to empower local businesses, open access to retail and export channels, and raise national appreciation for Bicol’s unique product offerings,” said Mr. Dindo G. Nabol, Regional Director of DTI Region V.
Ms. Erika Pereña, President of the OKB Association and owner of C.O.P. Pili Sweets and Pastries, shared that the trade fair will highlight the distinct identity, culture, and creativity of the Bicolanos.
“Bicol products can stand proudly beside national and even international brands,” Pereña said. “We are excited to showcase our locally-made products as we share our stories, heritage, and pride.”
