Chelsea Logistics reverses to positive growth, books PHP231 M income in H1

Chelsea Logistics of Davao-based businessman Dennis Uy, posted a strong financial rebound in the first half of 2025, reversing a PHP81 million net loss from the prior year and delivering PHP231 million in net income.

 

Revenues rose 17 percent year on year to PHP4.665 billion, driven by solid growth across freight +17 percent, passage +30 percent, and logistics +28 percent.

 

Freight remained the largest contributor at 45 percent of total revenues, while logistics benefited from resilient B2B demand and digital upgrades. Despite challenges in chartering and tugboat operations, cost discipline was maintained, with direct costs rising slower than revenues.

 

Gross profit surged 34 percent to PHP1.174 billion, and operating profit rose 47 percent to PHP650 million. EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization)  grew 33 percent to PHP1.609 billion, and EPS improved to PHP0.108, signaling a return to profitability. Book value per share increased to PHP2.10, supported by stable assets and stronger equity.
