DTI, FedEx to strengthen supply chain for MSMEs

The Department of Trade and Industry Supply Chain and Logistics Group (DTI-SCLG) and Federal Express Pacific, LLC (FedEx) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today to strengthen the country’s supply chain and logistics ecosystem, with a strong focus on supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The ceremonial signing, held at One World Place, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, was attended by DTI officials led by Undersecretary Jean Pacheco and the FedEx leadership team led by Ms. Maribeth Espinosa, Ms. Anne Liwag-Inawat, and Sonnielyn Tiu.

Through this MOU, FedEx will provide white glove services, discounted rates, technical resources and expertise to enhance logistical efficiency and accessibility, while DTI-SCLG ensures coordination and an enabling environment that will directly benefit MSMEs and exporters.

DTI-SCLG’s initiative builds on the commitments made during the launch of the SCLC Hotline & Portal last June 18, 2025 where eighteen (18) supply chain and logistics founding partners, including FedEx, pledged to provide preferential services, share expertise, and contribute resources to create a more inclusive and resilient logistics ecosystem.

To underscore its commitment, FedEx has rolled out an exclusive discount for MSMEs availing of their services through the SCLC. This preferential rate demonstrates FedEx’s dedication to supporting smaller enterprises, enabling them to lower costs, improve market access, and participate more competitively in global trade.

“This MOU is not merely a document, it is a manifestation of our shared responsibility to bolster our MSMEs, strengthen logistics competitiveness, and further commit to building a stronger and more forward-thinking Philippine economy,” said the Pacheco. This collaboration reaffirms both parties’ dedication to enabling enterprises, advancing logistical systems, and fostering inclusive growth through a more resilient Philippine supply chain and logistics.
