PAL cancels flights due to severe Tropical Storm “Opong” (Bualoi)

Philippine Airlines (PAL) today announced the cancellation of several domestic flights scheduled for Thursday, September 25, 2025, due to the proximity and potential impact of Severe Tropical Storm “Opong” (international name: Bualoi) on various airport stations. The decision prioritizes the safety of passengers and flight crews.

Affected Flights for Thursday, September 25, 2025

The following flights have been canceled:

PR 2653/2654: Cebu – Catarman – Cebu

PR 2671/2672: Manila – Calbayog – Manila

Advisory to Affected Passengers

Passengers booked on these canceled flights are strongly advised NOT to proceed to the airport. PAL offers the following options for affected passengers:

  1. Rebook Your Ticket

You may rebook your ticket in the same cabin class on a flight with available space within 60 days from your original flight date.

  1. Convert to Travel Credits

Alternatively, you can convert the value of your unused tickets into Travel Credits. These credits are valid for future ticket purchases for two years. As an added incentive, passengers affected by this disruption will receive a 5% incentive added to their Travel Credits.

  1. Refund

If you choose not to rebook, you may opt for a full refund of your unused ticket, excluding the ticketing service charge.
