Port of Pasig cargo operations temporarily suspended due to Tropical Cyclone Opong

Mega Lifters Cargo Handling Corp (MLCHC) announced today the temporary suspension of its cargo handling operations at the Port of Pasig, effective at 8:00 AM on Friday, September 26, 2025. This preemptive measure is being taken to ensure the safety and security of port personnel, assets, and facilities in anticipation of the landfall of Tropical Cyclone Opong.

The suspension is a direct response to the official weather advisories issued for the region. Regular operations will resume as soon as weather conditions are deemed safe and the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) provides clearance.

However, operations for critical shipments, including perishables, liquid bulk, and other similar essential cargo, will proceed without interruption to minimize disruption to the supply chain.

The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) advises all affected shipping lines and port users to direct inquiries to MLCHC for detailed information and guidance regarding specific shipments, revised schedules, and operational updates.

Mega Lifters Cargo Handling Corp is a leading provider of comprehensive cargo and logistics services, committed to ensuring efficient and safe port operations at the Port of Pasig.
