“K” Line Pte Ltd. (KLPL), the Singapore-based subsidiary wholly owned by Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” LINE), and the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) have cemented their shared vision for cultivating future leaders in the maritime sector by signing a three-year memorandum of understanding (MOU).
This strategic collaboration reaffirms KLPL’s steadfast commitment to supporting the industry’s talent pipeline, a dedication that has been ongoing since 2007. The new MOU will run from 2025 to 2027, further strengthening the enduring partnership between the two organizations.
As a core part of the agreement, KLPL will sponsor two MaritimeONE scholarships annually and continue to provide critical support for the MaritimeONE Internship Programme. SMF will oversee the administration and promotion of these opportunities, while candidate selection will be conducted jointly by KLPL and SMF to ensure the selection of promising future maritime professionals.
