Emirates targets Philippines for aircraft technician recruitment, highlighting $950M Dubai engineering hub

Emirates, the world’s largest international and most profitable airline, has launched a strategic global recruitment drive for top-tier Aircraft Technician talent, with its next official stop scheduled in the Philippines. The airline will host information sessions in Manila on October 14 and 15 to secure professionals who will be based at its dynamic hub in Dubai.

This recruitment push is part of the Emirates Group’s extensive plan to onboard 17,300 professionals this financial year. By tapping into the Philippines’ strong and growing aviation talent pool, Emirates aims to significantly expand its technical operations and further elevate maintenance standards across its international fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

A Career at the Cutting Edge

Emirates Philippines Country Manager, Saeed Abdulla Miran, highlighted the unique opportunities available to new hires.

“Our engineers enjoy a rewarding career in Dubai, working on the world’s largest fleet of widebody aircraft as part of a dynamic, multicultural team,” Miran said. “We’ve invested $950 million to build an ultra-modern engineering facility at Dubai World Central (DWC). Those who come on board Emirates will have the opportunity to work, learn, and push the boundaries of engineering and innovation at this new facility, which will be one of the largest and most advanced in commercial aviation.”

The 1 million square metre DWC facility, where construction began in 2024 and is expected to complete by 2027, is purpose-built to support Emirates’ fleet and operational requirements into the 2040s. Aircraft Technicians will be central to this centre of excellence, handling routine checks, bespoke paint jobs, light to heavy maintenance, engine repair, and full cabin interior fit-outs.
